Kenya president, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, will undertake a three-day state visit to Botswana on June 27-29.

He is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama.

A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation states that the two leaders will discuss bilateral cooperation in different sectors of the economy.

The visit is a culmination of the excellent relations that subsist between Botswana and Kenya, which established diplomatic relations in 1966.

Since 1966, the cooperation between the two countries has continued to grow in various fields such as trade, agriculture, transport, education, defence, environment and natural resources.

The release says President Kenyatta will officiate at the Botswana-Kenya business seminar.

He is also expected to tour the Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) and the Orapa Mine. ENDS
