Seretse attends SACU meeting

Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Vincent Seretse is in Johannesburg, South Africa for the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) ministerial retreat.
A press release from the ministry states that the meeting, which started yesterday until today seeks to chart the way forward regarding implementation of the SACU work programme with particular emphasis on inter alia issues including regional industrial development policy, establishment of SACU institutions in line with SACU Agreement of 2002, particularly tariff board and tribunal.
The meeting will also discuss unified engagement in trade negotiations, advance trade facilitation as well as revenue sharing agreement.
Minister Seretse is accompanied by senior government officials and they are expected back home on June 21. ENDS
