March couture clothing line is going to launch its latest collection the beginning of this July, chief executive officer, Phenyo Oaitse has said.

Oaitse said this during an interview when she also mentioned that her theme is elegance and sophistication.

“My style of clothing is inspired by what I would like to be seen wearing,” said Oaitse. March Couture comes from the fact that March is Oaitse’s birth month and Couture embraces a person as an individual and it is unique, she highlighted.

However, she went on to say that March Couture was founded in 2015 around June but the business has since had its challenges and opportunities. “The major challenge I am facing is finding sponsors for my clothing line so at the moment all finances are on me”, said Oaitse.

She said that she started off as a model at Posh Models but later on decided to leave and look for fashion mentors. Using her previous engagements experiences to her advantage, Oaitse managed to get contacts and support from people who helped her to move closer to her dream.

She then commented that being in the modelling industry, she learned a lot from the people that she worked with therefore this led her to be interested and inspired to start off her own clothing line. Oaitse explained that she targets the youth because they follow trends and they are the most likely to support her fashion sense.

Furthermore, Oaitse said she designs her clothes and sends those designs to a particular shop in the Main Mall for them to be tailored. Apart from business engagement, the 20 years old is a dancer and a third year business studies student at Botswana Accountancy College and she is aspiring for her business to be recognised around Botswana.

She said that balancing school and business is not much of a challenge as her business allows her to do it during free time. ENDS
