Dingalo new HRDC chief executive officer

The new HRDC chief executive officer, Dr Raphael Dingalo says he is honoured and privileged to be part of an organisation that effectively drives the planning, funding and financing the human resource development while translating the vision of HRDC into reality.
A press release from HRDC quotes Dr Dingalo describing HRDC as an Organisation led by a purpose, to make a positive, meaningful impact that matters and bring changes into the human resource development while up-skilling and up-scaling the lives of Batswana, and promised to do his best to serve the network by helping enable our leaders and people to fulfill their passion to make a difference.
He has worked at length at the University of Botswana, Centre for Academic Development’s (CAD) Academic Programme Review Unit. At CAD he was responsible for programme development and review of the University of Botswana and its Affiliated health institutions and colleges of education
Furthermore, he championed the university’s Academic Quality Management Policy, running workshops for UB staff both academic and non-academic on quality assurance and programme review.
He was the founding chairperson of the Press Council of Botswana’s Media Complaints Committee.
The committee was charged with receiving petitions from the public about the performance of members of the media and adjudicated on such matters and applied such remedies as appropriate.
Dr Dingalo holds a professional degree of Doctor in Education (EdD) from the Institute of Education (University of London, UK) awarded in 2002; a Master in Education (M.Ed) from the University of Manchester School of Education, (UK), awarded in 1995; and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from the College of St Mark and St John (UK), awarded by the University of Exeter in 1992.
He will lead the HRDC, a parastatal under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development. HRDC provides policy advice on all matters of national human resource development; coordinates and promotes the implementation of the National Human Resource Development Strategy; development of the National and Sector Human Resource Development Plans and planning and advising on tertiary education financing and work place learning.
