BCL releases victims names

The BCL Mine has released names of victims of an accident that claimed four lives on May 29.
A statement from the mine says the deceased are Mr Gaseitsewe Selelo of Seleka, who was employed as SHE inspector, Mr Botsanang Maphane of Kgagodi who was employed as a cage tender, Mr Godirilemang Seane also of Seleka, who was miner in charge and Mr Mmonieneng Tlase of Radisele who was winch operator.
The release states that two employees, who were referred to Nyangagbwe Referral Hospital in Francistown, are in a stable condition and out of danger. One employee, out of the four who were admitted at BCL Hospital, has been referred to Gaborone Private Hospital for orthopedic management.
Two of the three who remained at BCL hospital were discharged on May 30 leaving only one at the hospital. The parents of the deceased and the injured have been informed as well as the stakeholders such as the unions. BCL Mine is working with the families to arrange for post-mortem and funeral arrangements. Ends
