Molefhi travels to China
31 May 2016
Minister of Infrastructure, Science and Technology (MIST), Mr Nonofo Molefhi left May 27 for Macao, China, to attend the 7th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum from June 2 to3, 2016.
According to a press release from MIST, this is an annual event organised by China’s construction companies and the Macao government, to provide a meeting platform for Chinese contractors across the world and representatives of governments where they do business, to dialogue on how the two parties could better the way they do business together.
The release says Minister Molefhi represents a country where Chinese contractors have played a critical role in the construction industry. Many facilities in Botswana, both private and public have been constructed by Chinese contractors and these include both building and transport infrastructure, says the release. “The Macao conference will provide ministers an opportunity to give feedback to Chinese contractors on their overseas performance,” says the release.
