Show boosts economy

President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama was among the aviation enthusiasts who attended the annual Westbank International Airshow in Rasesa on May 28.
In its third year running, the airshow has proven to be a pot of amazing sportsmanship, opportunities for attendees to make business connections and a great time for friends and family.
The airshow featured an exciting and impressive array of aerial display and static display of the aircrafts .
Those who attended were also treated to a spectacular aerobatic stunts and mid-air formation which were performed by different pilots.
At the event, the Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism Mr Tshekedi Khama said the airshow was one of the best in Africa and this promoted the country resulting in tourists coming into Botswana thereby boosting the economy.
He observed that the event provided an opportunity for Batswana to experience the nature of the airshow at the same time exposing their ability to host an event of this magnitude. Ends
