Going out for dinner used to be a very special event and considered a big deal by many especially for lovers still in the infancy stages of their new found relationship.Home made dinner was also what the doctor ordered for many who would be knocking off from work and looking forward to a deliciously prepared meal.

However, nowadays people have very little time for such events because of the modern day pressures thus giving them less time to prepare food let alone go for an outing with their loved ones.This gap gave a very young and energetic 26-year-old  Ms Wananani Dandi a chance to embark on an idea to cater for this need.

Having worked in various supermarkets and other catering service businesses, Ms Dandi welcomed this opportunity and funded by the government to implement her idea.Ms Dandi told BOPA in an interview that she applied for a Youth Development Fund (YDF) of P100 000 to start up her own business since she was passionate and loved exploring different dishes.

She said her love for food inspired her a lot hence giving her the drive to pursue the journey into the field of catering.

Ms Dandi is the brain behind a flourishing catering business called Profit Plus Catering Service. She finds it easy to operate her business as she had the opportunity to study for Business Management at Nswazwi Brigade for a year noting that the business needs determination and boldness.

She said one is bound to go through challenges and experiences which will have either a negative or positive impact on the growth of the business.Ms Dandi said she feels obliged to meet the government halfway in its effort to create employment for other Batswana who are in need of opportunities that can put bread on their table.
