The Councillor for Nyorosi East Mr Kagisanyo Tau has urged residents of Tsopye ward in Kanye to be exemplary in cleaning campaigns for other wards to benchmark from them.Mr Tau said it is critical for them to demonstrate meritocracy as they are heading into the ward clean-up campaigns competitions to be held in September later this year.
Cllr Tau said when launching a clean-up campaign in his council ward recently that members of the community in conjunction with LYNN’s Funeral Parlour employees worked coherently to ensure success of the event.
Emphasis was made on harmonious working relationship among members of the community and stakeholders noting if united they will bring meaningful results to the ward and desired developments. He said starting early gives the ward an upper edge over others on the competition as others normally start at the eleventh hour.
The Kanye Administrative Authority assisted by donating garbage bags and gloves.
The manager of LYNN’s Funeral Parlour in Kanye, Mr Wisdom Sibanda, said as part of the community through social responsibility they are mandated to give back to the community. He said they will strive to assist the community in times of need. ENDS
