Nine patients to undergo transplats in India

Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) has sent nine patients to India for kidney and bone marrow transplants.
A press release from PMH says five patients will undergo kidney transplants at Apollo hospitals while four will get bone marrow transplant.
It says the patients left on May 15 and are expected back after two months.
The patients will be accompanied by a senior medical officer, transplant coordinator and a laboratory scientist.
It further states that Ministry of Health has signed an agreement with Apollo hospitals in September 2014 and the agreement is for a period of five years.
It further says ever since the agreement commenced, nine people got kidney transplants and one bone marrow transplant and prior to the agreement, four people had done kidney transplants. ENDS
