Creativity winning formula in business

05 May 2016

Member of Parliament for Kanye South, Mr Abram Kesupile has encouraged Kanye residents to be creative and innovative in order to make sound business proposals.

Addressing a kgotla meeting in Tsopye in Kanye recently, he challenged people to be innovative so that their business proposals were unique enough to be approved.

He expressed concern that many people were not conversant with filling gender affairs application forms, which were given to people who wanted to be sponsored to kick-start businesses.

On other issues, MP Kesupile said poor performance of some schools was disturbing, adding that the problem of school drop-outs was also a perturbing factor.

He quoted statistics that indicated that at tertiary institutions majority of graduates were males, which discrepancy was exacerbated by pregnancy.

MP Kesupile expressed the need for a law that protected informers who would be helping in corruption cases.

For his part, Sub Inspector Thabo Mogatusi of Kanye police said students abused alcohol and drugs, advising parents to always keep an eye on their children.

He emphasised that parents should attend school meetings, assess their children’s books and work harmoniously with teachers to enhance performance in schools. Ends
