Ba Meepo association blesses Nteba family

Ba Meepo Pensioners Association has demonstrated the spirit of philanthropy by donating to the Nteba family on Tuesday.Speaking at the donation ceremony in Ranaka, MP for Kanye North, Mr Patrick Ralotsia borrowed from the Biblical idiom that '’blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives,” noting the gesture symbolised humanity.
Mr Ralotsia encouraged Batswana not to be weary of doing great things for other people who did not have the same priviledge in life.He commended the nation for demonstrating spirit, adding that in other countries, hatred was the order of the day where some cultures were considered superior to others.
Mr Ralotsia said some Setswana proverbs helped to unite Batswana so that they could live harmoniously citing such idioms as susu ilela suswana.He expressed the need for people living with disabilities to socialise with other members of the community so that they could receive appropriate help.
Mr Ralotsia commended the association for the good gesture and encouraged them to go a step further in assisting the disadvantaged members of the community.Cllr Pholo Howell of Ranaka acknowledged the presence of the MP during the donation noting that it depicted benevolence despite his busy schedule.
He also praised the association for donating to the Nteba’s family. However, Kgosi Karabo Telekelo commended the association for identifying the needy in his village. Kgosi Telekelo said this would encourage the spirit of sympathy amongst all citizens.
He also applauded the group of 1960 that originated from Ranaka. The group donated to the vulnerable and people living with disabilities in different villages in the Southern District.
The Ba Meepo Pensioners Association chairperson, Rev Kagiso Tselaesele, expressed his delight in donating a washing machine, six blankets and three water-proof mattress, to Polokego Nteba, Elsie Nteba and Ruth Nteba who are living with disabilities.Ba Meepo Pensioners Association, which was established in 2009 and registered legally in 2010, is based in Kanye.
