The Presidential Inspectorate Task team chaired by former Vice President, Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe has begun to carry out its primary mission of undertaking risk assessments.

A news release from BGCIS states that where necessary, the inspectorate task team will propose mitigation strategies for the enhanced delivery of government programmes and projects.

“In this context, the team will soon commence on-site inspection of key government funded projects,” states the release.

The eight person task team was appointed by President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama with a mandate to:

• Undertake periodic inspections of government programmes and projects.

 • Advise government on matters relating to the successful implementation of programmes and projects, including undertaking risk assessments.

 • Present inspection reports to guide further mitigations as may be appropriate.

The release further states that the appointment of this high level team was in line with the government’s unwavering commitment to strengthen oversight on implementation, effective service delivery and improved project delivery country wide. Ends
