North West District Commissioner, Ms Chabongwa Matseka has commended the Tawana Land Board  (TLB)management for recognising excellence.

Speaking at the Tawana Land Board staff awards  recently, Ms Matseka said the TLB annual staff awards ceremony, which is on its sixth year, proved that management highly observed commitment.

She also indicated that staff contribution was core to every institution to achieve its objectives and motivated staff members to deliver diligently.

She said land was a crucial asset  imploring employees to remain committed despite some challenges faced by land boards which included delays in plot allocations.

Nonetheless, Ms Matseka also commended Tawana Land Board for improving its performance and attaining position five from seven among all land boards. 

Tawana Land Board chairperson, Mr Kutjavetira Mauano noted that the awards were a way of appreciating employees’ contribution to the institution and a motivator for non-winners.

Meanwhile, about 39 employees were awarded prizes in categories which included sports, talent, long service, chairman’s award and board secretary’s award, among others. Ends
