Heavy downpours cause roads closure

The Botswana Police Service has warned the public to be cautious when using roads following heavy rains.
In an in interview with Radio Botswana News earlier today (March 17), Senior Superintendent Andrew Montshiwa said they had temporarily closed Metsimotlhabe Road due to the overflowing Metsimotlhabe River.
He pleaded with the public using the route to turn to A10 road, which passes through Kumakwane, Thamaga and Molepolole. Those coming from Metsimotlhabe to Gaborone are being urged to use Molepolole-Thamaga route.
Senior Supt Montshiwa said they had also temporarily closed Willie Seboni road passing between BTV and CBD. He also said they had temporarily closed Segoditshane road that passes across the bridge next to Maoka Junior Secondary School.
He warns drivers using A1 road to be vigilant at Sebele Farms as the road was partly flooded. Ends
