Ngurungu awaits Moilwa clearance

09 Mar 2016

Sankoyo Bush Bucks management has taken a decision not to field its number one goal keeper, Basimanebotlhe Moilwa in their official matches until he withdraws his resignation letter from the premier league office.

This comes after Moilwa returned to his home team after negotiations with the Lobatse- based Extension which showered interest to sign him failed.

In an interview, the team manager, Lere Ramoeta explained that last year December, the player wrote a letter to the said office requesting to be declared as a free agent. It was reported that the player was seen training with Jwaneng Galaxy and then Extension Gunners before he returned to Ngurungu.

Moilwa was one of the club’s players who failed to return from the festive season while a few turned up in protest over unpaid salaries.

Ramoeta said they have welcomed Moilwa and he is training with the team but they could not use him in their encounters because they want him to clear up the issue with the Premier League office.

He said they have a fear that if they could use him, they might be charged for using him as a defaulter hence “we want him to withdraw the letter,” he added.

The team lost many key players who went for greener pastures but management believes that the returning of Moilwa is a blessing to the team which has been lacking experience at the back.

Ramoeta said although efforts to contact the premier league regarding the issue were successful as they were given the go ahead verbally to use the player but indicated they want a formal communication from the office.

The team manager said they want things to be done in a proper manner to avoid mistakes.

Meanwhile, last season, Ngurungu had cases of using defaulters and the team lost three points, two goals and fined P1 000 after being found guilty of fielding an improperly registered player in an official match against Motlakase Power Dynamos. Ends
