Ontydeezy connects Goshwe

One youth has taken advantage of the benefits offered by the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC) to open a studio. Mr Ontiretse Rebobonye of Goshwe has taken advantage of the benefits offered by the ministry to open a studio, which started operating in 2015.
The 26-year-old budding mogul said he grew up with a passion of being an entrepreneur. However, he said it has not been all plain sailing for him to get this far, as it took hard work, willingness as well as determination and patience.
His business, Ontydeezy Studio Investment, offers Internet services, photocopying, graphic design, binding, laminating and photo shooting.
Mr Rebobonye said the need for the government and private organisations to access daily vital activities with modern technology has prompted him to start the business. He said operating a business needs one to undergo a market research to determine the viability and sustainability of the business.
“I recognised that children around the village do not even know how to power a computer and to get access to the Internet for their studies.
I therefore decided to bridge the gap of computer illiteracy by offering free computer lessons, which they attend on Saturdays only,” he said.
He noted that most of the people in the community were now keeping up with technology, especial in applying for jobs online and social networks. Furthermore, he said primary and junior schools sometime print examination papers with him when their photocopying machines were not working.
The youngster said he strives to provide quality and unique services and products to his customers that reveal his leadership skills.
He said the initiative has taken his business to a higher level than that of his competitors. He added that despite challenges such as power cuts and poor roads, which is stressful to the customers, he continues to endure.
Furthermore, he said he was building a three bed-roomed house and was also taking care of his family, who also support him to keep going when the journey gets tough. He noted that there was talent and prowess in Goshwe that needs to be nurtured, and that he was looking forward to helping other youth achieve their dreams. Ends
