OP announces inspectorate team

The Office of the President has announced the appointment of an eight member presidential inspectorate task team.
A press release says the team, which was appointed by President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama, is chaired by former vice president, Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe and other members are Mssrs Peter Siele, Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri, Newman Kahiya, Mathias Chakalisa, Johnnie Swartz, Gabolekwe Tlogelang and Ms Mapula Modise.
The team is expected to undertake periodic inspections of government programmes and projects as directed by President Khama.
The release further states that the team will among other things, advise President Khama on matters relating to the successful implementation of government programmes and projects.
It will also undertake risk assessment and propose mitigation strategies for prgorammes and projects that have been inspected, present inspection reports to President Khama and undertake any other tasks as directed by the President in line with the monitoring of government projects.
The release says the appointment of the team is in line with the government’s unwavering commitment to strengthen oversight on implementation, effective delivery and improved service delivery countrywide. Ends
