UCCSA choir donates to school pupil
16 Feb 2016
The United Congregational Church of Southern Africa Kolobeng regional choir has donated a wheelchair worth P3 800 to a Monare Primary School pupil who is physically challenged.
They also donated P5 000 to the school. The donation was done during the church’s annual regional conference at Thamaga recently.
Receiving the gifts, the school representative, Mr Patrick Mosotho said he was overwhelmed with joy. He quoted a scripture that says without love we cannot do anything and that love was the greatest of all things.
“The love of God makes all things happen and I believe you donated to us out of the love of God, but not out of yourselves. We are really grateful children of God for what you have done for us,” he said.
For her part, one of the teachers, Ms Dimakatso Ramaeba said the donation would be put to good use. She said the number of pupils who were in need of wheelchairs was increasing as in 2011 they had only three children who used wheelchairs, but now they have 27. Ms Ramaeba said the donation brings joy to their hearts.
“I have been hearing you preaching about a calling. Truth be told, I believe even taking care of physically challenged children is a calling. Personally I believe I have been called to take care of physically challenged children.” Ends
