Davonkish shares fun with SOS children
08 Feb 2016
Davonkish Company employee spent time with SOS children in Tlokweng over the weekend.
Speaking during the event, Davonkish manager, Mr Ishmael Tapa, said family fun day helped to connect them with the SOS children, to offer a helping hand and happiness to children.
He said the initiative was motivated by the desire to carry out vision 2016 pillar of a compassionate, just and caring nation. “As an individual I just wondered what role have I played to ensure that the vision will be achieved,” said Mr Tapa,
He added that the question he asked himself motivated and encouraged him to act up, he then came to a conclusion of organising a family fun day and take the services of hairdressing offered by his company to SOS children.
Mr Tapa said hairstyles would boost children’s confidence and appearance. He said the first thing people tend to notice in a person was the head and the hairstyle said a lot about one's personality.
Mr Tapa also stated that it was his plan to do that again often because hairstyles needed to be changed time and again. He said beside styling these children’s hair, he will also share with them the importance of offering such services and how it could help one to earn a living.
One of the children, Gaone Taolo, expressed her appreciation to what Davinkosh had done.
Some of the activities of the day included different games and music offered by the same company. The educational coordinator of SOS Tlokweng Mr Kitso Tshimologo also commended the company for a generous work. Ends
