Botswana National Front (BNF)  has embarked on a number of activities in Kanye to pay homage to Kgosi Bathoen II of Bangwaketse.

One of the organisers, Mr Kabelo Lemme, who is also councillor for Marapalalo ward, said in an interview that the series of events that began on Tuesday would culminate with a star rally on Saturday.

Other than being at the helm of Bangwaketse as a paramount chief, Kgosi Bathoen also served as a Member of Parliament under the BNF ticket.

Ra Kgosi, as Bathoen was referred to, left behind a trail of developments among them; dams and horticultural projects. 

“As you may be aware, our gesture to pay tribute to Kgosi Bathoen II coincides with Botswana National Front’s 50th anniversary,” he said, adding that the late kgosi’s contribution to the growth of the party was remarkable. ENDS
