Komboni joins JSC

President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama, on Thursday January 21, administered oath to Mr Gabriel Komboni, who joins the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) representing Law Society of Botswana (LSB).
Speaking in an interview after the ceremony, Mr Komboni, of Phumaphi and Chakalisa Company, promised not to disappoint the commission and LSB in dispensing his judicial duties.
He said it was an honour for him to represent LSB in the JSC, the development he said was a requirement within the Constitution to complete the composition of the commission.
He stressed the importance of the commission in the dispensation of judicial functions, which contributed to the running of the state’s legal affairs. Mr Komboni, who has been in the legal practice since 1987, brings with him a wealth of perience.
He acquired LLB from the University of Botswana in conjunction with Edinburgh University in Scotland. He also possesses LLM from the University of North West in South Africa.
Present at the event, which took place at the Office of the President, were, among others; Permanent Secretary to the President, Mr Carter Morupisi, Attorney General, Dr Athaliah Molokomme, Registrar and Master of the High Court, Mr Michael Motlhabi and Senior Private Secretary to the President, Brigadier George Tlhalerwa.
