The fourth meeting of the third Ntlo Ya Dikgosi, which is scheduled to start on Monday January 18 and last until January 29, will start with the election of chairperson.

The election will see the incumbent staying in the post for a period of two and half years before another election. 

This is because recently the House adopted new Rules of Procedure which amended the old Rules of Procedure which stipulated that both the chair and deputy should be elected every year.

However, the Monday election of the chairperson will not affect the position of the deputy chairperson as it was recently contested for after the resigning of

Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II of Barolong and won by Kgosi Malope II of Bangwaketse.

Members of the House will undergo an internal training from January 19 to 22, when the House will start business.

During the sitting, different government ministers will answer 48 oral question posted by various dikgosi and the House will debate a total of 10 motions before going on recess. Ends
