Mokaila appreciates employees commitment

The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources (MMEWR), Mr Kitso Mokaila has lauded ministry staff for working hard and delivering impressively on their mandate.
Speaking at the MMEWR awards ceremony in Gaborone over the weekend, he said despite the challenges that made it difficult for the ministry to ensure supply of water and electricity to the nation, the employees were not deterred from living the ministry’s vision.
He commended all the award winners as well as those who did not win accolades, saying their contributions have added to their colleagues’ achievements.
He said all the employees of the ministry have shown commitment to working as a team focused on one common goal of offering Batswana the best service.
He said the great results are achieved when all worked as a dedicated and focused unit.
Minister Mokaila also lauded the various parastatals in the ministry, saying they have shown commitment to serving Batswana.
For his part, the permanent secretary in the ministry, Mr Kgomotso Abi advised the employees to stand up against corruption in the ministry. He said all forms of corruption should be discouraged.
The MMEWR awards covered outstanding performance in sports and at work.
Among the categories was the best employee award, the best team award, the PS award as well as the minister’s award. Ends
