Ngurungu appeal for support
15 Dec 2015
Sankoyo Bush Bucks assistant coach, Gadimang Tiiso, has urged the Maun business community and residents to support his club.
He said this in an interview after his team came from behind to score two goals that saw them share the spoils with Extension Gunners FC in a beMOBILE Premiership match played in Lobatse over the weekend.
He said due to lack of a technical sponsorship, the team had so far lost six quality players to other moneyed competitors in the league. Tiiso revealed that the history makers had again played their maiden season, 2014/15 and the current without a technical sponsor which made it difficult to retain quality players.
The youthful coach said the community needed to appreciate the fact that business thrived during games played at the Maun Sports Complex.
“We give less but demand more from players which is quite unfair. Some players do not perform to the best of their ability now because they are frustrated,”he said.
Meanwhile he thanked his boys for the character they exhibited during the match despite conceding two silly goals in the first half. He said with more support the club can finish the league inside the top eight bracket.
Gunners coach Chicco Dance Nare was on one hand disappointed that his charges gave away a game they could have finished off in the first half.
Gunners were the first to score two goals in the first half but lack of composure saw them waste clear cut goal scoring opportunities which could have easily sealed the deal for them. Nare attributed the result to attitude and lack of focus. Ends
