Be visible to attract customers

15 Dec 2015

Entrepreneurs providing services at weddings have been urged to be visible to attract more customers and ensure growth of their businesses.

Officiating at Maun’s first wedding expo, Maun Administrative Authority council chairperson, Mr Gaokgakala Letswee, said those doing business in Maun had a great opportunity, but needed to market themselves well.

He said Maun and surrounding areas were known for their numerous yearly wedding celebrations. The expo, he said, gave entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their products and promote businesses.

Mr Letswee commended organisers for bringing entrepreneurs together and selling their services to the public. He advised them to be creative and market their businesses well.

For her part, one of the organisers, Ms Obonetse Mhapa of Mhapnee Investment Company said the aim of the expo was to market the entrepreneurs in the wedding industry as some were still emerging.

Another objective was to give the future brides and grooms an opportunity to know where to get services in order to have memorable weddings. She said people used to travel as far as Gaborone and Francistown to get services but now they would save the costs.

Ms Mhapa, who is also a wedding planner, said she provided wedding budget advices. She thanked all the exhibitors who made the event a success.

About eight exhibitors from different categories showcased their products. Ends
