15 Dec 2015
Nzano Super Spar staff in Francistown has donated a two roomed house and other necessities to Kaema family
Speaking during the handing over ceremony in Somerset West recently, Nzano Super Spar administration manager Ms Tamapo Ntuane, said they had two initiatives: being home grown and community development services that aimed at improving lives.
Ms Ntuane said their initiative was established in 2011 to improve lives of the less privileged in the community as a way of giving back to the community.
She said at first, they started with backyard gardening at Mahube Primary School, SOS Children’s Village and for 72 year-old Mr Oganne Kaema and 65 year-old Mr Peter Kaema respectively.
Ms Ntuane also noted that the garden of Oganne and Peter did not bear any good fruits due to lack of water.
However, they did not look back but continued with another initiative of community development service.
Shesaid My Spar My Botswana staff came together and installed the yard fence before constructing a two roomed house with an outside water system toilet.
Ms Ntuane applauded the staff for a job well done and urged them to stand together to help the people of Botswana.
In her welcome remarks, one of the villagers Ms Oteng Motshwaedi appreciated the job done by Super Spar Staff.
She said they came to the place as members of the village to witness the donation adding that it was good to see companies standing up and welcoming the President’s Housing Appeal to assist those in need.
One of the beneficiaries Mr Oganne Kaema said he was speechless and is very happy to have a home and encouraged the Spar Staff to continue with the spirit of giving as they will be rewarded at the end. Ends
