Mosielele funeral Saturday

Kgosi Mareko Mosielele of Bahurutshe Ba ga Mmapula –a-Modisane in Manyana has passed on. He would be laid to rest at the royal cemetery in Manyana on Saturday (December 19).
Kgosi Mosielele (91), who was affectionately called Rakgosi or Motshweneng by his subjects, died Thursday (December 10) at Bokamoso Private Hospital after a long illness.
Motshweneng was installed as kgosi in 1957 but had ruled Bahurutshe Boo-Manyana since July 1952. He retired in May 2010 and passed the baton over to his son, Kgosi Kebinatshwene Mosielele, acccording to the family spokesperson Kgosi Robert Mangope in an interview.
Kgosi Mangope said the World War II veteran had contributed immensely to the development of Manyana, Southern District and the nation at large.
He said Kgosi Mosielele also loved sports and once played for Kanye Stone Breakers with Kgosi Bathoen II of Bangwaketse and Sir Seretse Khama.
He is survived by nine children, seven daughters and two sons. Kgosi Mangope urged Bahurutshe to come dressed in traditional Sehurutshe attire to pay tribute to Rakgosi. Ends
