Tonota sub-council introspects

Tonota  Sub-district Council held a chairperson’s ball on Friday to reflect on this year’s  achievements and successes.

The chairperson, Councillor Anderson Moalosi, said there had been some hiccups, which hindered service delivery across all sections.

Councillor Moalosi stated that the sub-district hosted two national events being Culture Day and World AIDS Day commemoration.

He applauded stakeholders, who ensured that those events were a success and he encouraged all to continue with the spirit of team work.

He said the sub-district had also conducted kgotla meetings and took services to the people across the villages as a way of interacting with their customers in open sessions for effective service delivery.

He stated that the objective was to take services to the people through interaction with communities and added that the event was also a platform to disseminate information about the products and services offered by the sub-district council and this allowed customers to get first had information.

Furthermore, Councillor Moalosi said the objective also enabled customers to acquire knowledge and clarity on services and programmes offered as customers were given an opportunity to view services and ask questions and get information they needed.

He also noted that they had experienced showers of rain and the sub-district had registered an increasing number of cases of affected government households.

 

He appreciated the spirit of team work from all staff as well as thestakeholders and wished them a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New YearEnds
