The Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has released the 2015 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) results.

A total of 42 553 candidates wrote the examinations showing a decrease from the 2014 candidature of 42 797. Of the 42 553 students, 21 299 (50.05%) were females and 21 254 (49.95%) were males.

The 2015 PSLE overall performance indicated that the proportion of candidates obtaining Grade C or better went up by 0.58 per cent from 69.16 per cent in 2014 to 69.74 per cent in 2015. The percentage of candidates obtaining Grade A in this examination rests at 14.65 per cent against 14.20 per cent of last year representing a slight increase of 0.46%.

There are 17.84 per cent candidates at Grade B compared to 17.35 per cent in 2014, representing a slight increase of 0.49 per cent. At the lower grades, 6.81 per cent of the candidates obtained Grade E compared to 5.21 per cent in 2014, showing an increase of 1.6 per cent. Ends
