Bus accident claims life

A 67-year-old man of Thabala died and a driver sustained a fractured leg when a 65 passenger bus which was from Gaborone heading for Maun overturned in Serowe on Sunday morning (December 6).
Acting station commander for Serowe police, Assistant Superintendent Molefhe Molefhe told BOPA in an interview that the bus which was carrying 10 passengers including the driver, hit two street lights and a tree before overturning at Makolojwane ward.
Assistant Superintendent Molefhe said the driver and the bus conductor who lost her arm were admitted at Mahalapye hospital.
Other passengers sustained minor injuries and have been admitted at Sekgoma Memorial and Nyangagwe referral hospitals.
Asp Molefhe cautioned the drivers to be alert especially when approaching that spot as it was steadily becoming a death trap. ENDS
