Cresta Marakanelo Group in conjunction with Riley’s Cresta Hotel in Maun have handed over a two and a half roomed house to Ms Nxhae Kgomotsae of Tsau.  

Speaking during handing over of the over P100 000 recently, Cresta Riley’s general manager, Mr Ngonidzashe Shumba said the occasion marked Cresta Marakanelo Group's determination to uphold its corporate social responsibility policy.

He said their scope of social responsibility was divided into two main categories being environmental scope, where they pledged to protect the environment and its natural resources and the social scope, where they were committed to support Vision 2016 pillars by helping less privileged in the community.

Mr Shumba noted that they were also committed to taking voluntary steps to improve quality of the lives of the society as well as to engage, learn and support the culture of such communities.Human resource manager, Mr Thato Dihentse, said the project took four months to complete.

 “The construction was carried out by a young man of Tsau, who also hired other young people of this village,"he said.

The beneficiary, Ms Komotsae, thanked Cresta Marakanelo Group for the good gesture. She said the house would protect her family from the adverse weather conditions. Ends
