25 Nov 2015
Princess Marina Hospital has discharged 13 more Matsha students who were recently involved in an accident from various wards. The majority of the students were discharged from the surgical and orthopaedic wards.
A press release from the hospital indicates that 25 students were still hospitalised though they may be discharged anytime. It says the hospital has arranged transport for the discharged students through the Department of Social Protection.
The release further says another student was discharged on Tuesday from the Intensive Care Unit to the ward, and that only one student patient remains at the ICU. It says he is making good progress, and that the rest of the students were recovering with gradual improvement.
The release says initially the hospital admitted 31 students, and that they have received seven students from Bokamoso and Gaborone Private Hospital over the weekend, which makes a total of 38 students.
The release says two students, the one at ICU and the one who has been discharged from ICU, have received counselling.
The students were admitted at Marina with various injuries in the head, bruises, laceration and fractures. Ends
