Family struggles to deal with Joyce's death

The passing of Joyce Tsogwane, one of the  of seven students of Matsha College at Kang who passed on in a horrific accident on November 13, was described  as an encounter that the family would not easily forget .

Speakers among them the deceased’s uncle, Mr Temogo Tsogwane, said he was disheartened by the fact that his nephew had an outstanding conduct as she was committed to Christian life.

He said his main worry was over the fact that the deceased had an ambition of becoming a soldier, the dream that everyone had hope that it will bring light to the entire family. He also said they had trust in the Lord to strengthen their spirits.  

Like other speakers Mr Tsogwane expressed happiness at the government’ support towards  arranging for the students’ funeral but pleaded with the government to see to it that trucks will no longer be used as mode of transport for students. 

The 18-year-old Joyce, speakers said, lived a happier life through her commitment and devotion towards Christian style of living as opposed to most of her peers.

Meanwhile the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Vincent Seretse, who stood on behalf of President Seretse Khama Ian Khama to convey message of condolences to the Tsogwane family highlighted his deepest sympathy to the family said government was deeply saddened as the death has not only affected the family but the nation at large 

 The minister also urged the family to have hope with the understanding that losing a child should not make them despair as the love of the lord will always be on their side.

The deceased who was a staunch member of the Apostolic Faith Mission was among the 126 Matsha students who were being transported back to their respective homes by Kweneng District Council truck that overturned and killed seven girls and left some injured near Dutlwe recently.

Takatokwane Kgosi Makgabana Tsiane expressed happiness over the manner in which the government handled the issue .The presidential affairs and public administration minister Mr Eric Molale was among the mourners. The deceased is survived by her mother, father, and three siblings. Ends
