Following the road traffic accident that occurred along Morwamuso/Letlhakeng road on Friday 13th November, the Botswana Police Service (BPS) has established the names of the deceased aged between 18 and 20 years as follows:

Joyce Tsogwane - Takatokwane  

Oaitse Morualebe - Salajwe  

Olebile Mosielele - Salajwe  

Irene Molebeledi - Sorilatholo  

Barati Sekgaolo - Khudumelapye 

Neo Kealotswe - Mantshwabisi 

Keakabetse L. Gakelebonye - Salajwe

We can confirm that the truck left Kang heading for Kweneng District with 126 people including the driver and his assistant. Four students were dropped at Tshwaane settlement before the accident. Thus at the time of the accident, there were 122 people aboard the truck.

The BPS also established that all the seven deceased were female students and that 111 passengers sustained serious injuries. Four students were treated for minor injuries and discharged. Ends
