Boswelakoko clinic praised for exceptional service

09 Nov 2015

Poor customer service and service delivery is an ideology that is presumed in many sectors, especially in government institutions. In many cases the scenario has been repeatedly depicted by community members in kgotla meetings addressed by different government officials and the political leadership.

During the Botsogo Pitso that was held by the Boswelakoko Clinic in Molepolole on Friday, things took a different turn when the community of Goo-Modibedi Ward could only utter more praises than complaints about the clinic’s customer service .

They mentioned that despite the shortage of resources such as transport and lack of a maternity ward, customer service is excellent. The clinic with a staff compliment of five, comprising health workers and one cleaner, is described as a clinic where love and warmth reigns..

They further noted that workers there radiate patience and compassion when they attend to patients; rare qualities in most health facilities, they said.

They even suggested that senior nurse, Ms Lesedi Moeti should be given a platform to train other nurses on customer service as they said nursing to her is as natural as breathing.

They likened her exceptional qualities to the legendary Dr Merriweather and Florence Nightingale.

They residents further said the clinic is always spotlessly clean.

Ms Reginah Regoeng said the clinic was the best in the country.

“We hope government will not transfer these employees. We are healed by their love as we enter the clinic,” said Ms Regoeng. She further said they are healed by the medication they get from the clinic as it is prescribed with love.

Meanwhile, the residents expressed a wish for the clinic to be extended.

They requested that services such as maternity ward, laboratory as well as transport should be introduced in the clinic and for the facility to be elevated to the status of a primary hospital.

However they requested government to employ more cleaners because the current one is over worked.

Kweneng East programme coordinator, Ms Emang Mokgwari noted that she was happy that the clinic is held in high regard.

She told the residents of Boswelakoko that the clinic’s expansion is in the pipeline as the clinic is the only one with lots of free space, hence the plans to extend it to a primary hospital. Ends
