Funeral Services Group (FSG) showed their benevolence by donating to a family of four after their house was gutted by fire. FSG recently donated food grocery worth P1 500 and some clothing items to the Tsatsi family.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, FSG assurance manager, Ms Lynn Hubona, said community service responsibility was at the heart of their business operations.
She said they had about 19 morgues around the country and as such ensured that the company engaged in community outreach programmes to aid the less privileged in different communities that they offered their funeral services to.
She said the mission was largely driven by their call center personnel who dig deep from their pockets to assist the Tsatsi family in order for them to live dignified lives.
Ms Hubona thanked Lobatse Social & Community Development(S&CD) department for their reception and assured them that they would continue with their outreach programmes to aid other citizens.
The principal social welfare officer, Mr Thomas Mokgethi lauded FSG for their kindness.
He said they had about 600 destitutes in Lobatse and implored the private sector and any other individuals who had financial muscle to assist the less privileged in their communities in order for them to live better lives.
For his part, the Lobatse Town Council’s education, health and social services (EHSS) committee chairperson, Mr Molaodi Mantle who is also Wood hall councilor, lauded FSG for their endless support.
He implored them to continue to be compassionate and caring in order to uplift the lives of the less privileged.
He further urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the donated items and put them to good use.
Giving a word of appreciation, Ms Tshiamo Tsatsi expressed gratitude to Lobatse S&CD in collaboration with FSG for their provision.
She wished them best of luck in every aspect of their lives and also implored them to get closer to God and he is the provider of everything. Ends
