Local government employees helps needy

The Ngamiland Assistant District Commissioner, Mr Bakani Mathumo has lauded his staff members for assisting one Mr Moiseraele Maphakela, a person living with disability.
Speaking during a wellness day organised by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in Disaneng recently, he said they came two years back to paint his one roomed house and clean the yard.
Mr Mathumo also said this time’s visit was mainly to clean the yard, blankets as well as giving him food and bedding consisting of a bed, blankets, bed covers, sheets, pillows and their cases.
A nephew of Mr Maphakela, Ms Kethatafetse Morapedi thanked the employees for what they have done for her uncle, noting that as an asthmatic person, she cannot do all good things done by the employees.
Mr Maphakela also expressed his happiness as well to the employees.
When giving vote of thanks, one of the relatives, Mr Brown Motswanageng said it shows that his family is not lost as there are some people who support them. He encouraged the community at large to take the responsibility of assisting people living with disabilities. Ends
