The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo is in Munich, Germany, to attend the 3rd German-Africa Infrastructure Forum scheduled for 3rd-4th November at the invitation of the German-Africa Business Association (Afrika-Verein).
A news release from the Ministry of Transport and Communications states that the focus of the forum is the development of Africa’s infrastructure sector and the potentials for Geran-Africa cooperation.
It further states that the forum will also bring together government representatives, decision makers and business representatives from German-Africa Business Association’s network for a focused discussion on urban development, transport, logistics, water and waste management as well as construction.
It says the German-Africa Business Association (Afrika-Verein) is a German based stakeholder supporting German-Africa business relations with around 600 members from various sectors.
The release says founded in 1934, the association serves as a liaison between the African continent and the German business community with a view to improve German-Africa business relations with around 600 members from various sectors.
“The focus is promoting private business, trade, investment and exchange of information with Africa. It is a key German foreign trade association with interest in Africa offering quality network between the German and African businesses and governments,” says the release.
It also states that the minister also took part in an exclusive visitation programme for African delegates yesterday that paved the way for a focused exchange of information and practical experience for German and African government officials and entrepreneurs.
The minister is accompanied by the director of transport hub projects and is expected back home on November 6. Ends
