SADC ministers of Environment and natural resources will meet  in Gaborone Friday (November 6) to review progress on the environment and natural resources sector.

A press release from the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism says ministers will also deal with a number of policy issues that are expected to facilitate regional integration for sustainable development.

In addition, the meeting will also consider the SADC Regional Common Position for Climate Change in preparation for the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change scheduled to take place in France from November 30 to December 11. 

The meeting will be officially opened by the Minster of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Mr Tshekedi Khama, who is also the chairperson of the SADC Committee of Ministers of Environment and Natural Resources. Ends
