Jackalas 2 Police donate
29 Oct 2015
Members of the Botswana Police Service stationed at the Jackalas 2 police post have been commended for living the Vision 2016 pillar of a compassionate, just and caring nation during an event in which they donated food hampers to a needy person in the village.
Officer Commanding for No. 15 district Mr Kobedi Dintwe applauded the officers for having fully embraced the call for all to play a role in bettering the lives of the less-privileged.
Mr Dintwe noted that police officers, just like other public officers were enjoined to serve the communities in which they were based in other ways in addition to the core mandate they had been employed to discharge.
During the event, Ms Mauze, who has seven children aged between 16 and three, was given blankets, plastic chairs, toiletries and food items. In the afternoon of the same day, police officers who have been on a three-month trip at the Ramokgwebana border post, also donated a food hamper to 104 year-old Ms Vuma Modo of Jackalas 1. Ends
