Dintorokong FC sink Gabane United

Newly -promoted Kweneng region division one rookies Dintorokong shooting Stars football club got a morale boost in their campaign as they thumped Gabane United 3-1 in Gabane recently.
The battle kicked off with both sides shy to find the back of the net but Dintorokong FC had many glorious chances to grab the lead but their finishing was a let down.
During the first half, the game started to be characterised by back to back fouls and dangerous tackles but towards the half way mark of the first half Dintorokong player Bokang Koothupile was brought down in the box and Patrick Jacklas shot home to send his team into a celebratory mood.
Gabane United thereafter upped its game in search for an equaliser but Dintorokong goalkeeper was highly alert and in no mood to concede as he thwarted every goal attempts from his opponents.
Jackals continued to keep united defence under preasure as he kept terrorising them in the box in search for his second goal.
Gabane United won a penalty following a defensive blunder by Dintorokong’s backline as they handled the ball inside the box, but Bushy Keboletsi’s penalty was denied by the highly alert Dintorokong goalie.
Dintorokong quickly punished United again as Jacklas grabbed his second of the game through a header in the box to send the encounter into the half time break Ditoronkong leading 2-1.
In the second stanza both sides kept knocking at each other’s doors as they visited each other’s posts frequently but on the 52nd minute Diratsagae Besele from Dintorokong was yellow carded for time wasting.
Gabane United’s trusted man between the posts Keabetswe Samson made some mistakes as he often failed to anticipate most of Dintorokong’s attempts but was lucky to not get punished.
On the 63rd minute united coach Mr Kutlwano Rathari pulled out his goalkeeper Samson and threw in Tshepiso Rantuana.
United pulled one back through Tlotlanang Lesokwane on the 70th minute to inject some sense of hope into his team that they could make a comeback to solicit a positive result from the encounter.
Dintorokong started making some time delaying tactics but their goalkeeper was yellow carded on the 75th minute for time wasting as Gabane united was starting to exert more pressure for an equaliser.
Kesebonye Obusitse nearly equalised for the home team but he ballooned his header over the top bar, resulting in his head injury and was transported to the clinic to seek medical attention.
Dintorokong won another penalty in the dying minutes of the game and Obakeng Mogotsi stepped forward and shot home to cement their three points as he gave his side a hard fought 3-1 win.
In a post match interview Gabane United gaffer Mr Rathari believed that they lost fairly as his troops did not come to the party.
“ our approach was to attack them , but at first our midfield was not that good, as for the substitution of my goalkeeper we were trying to protect him as he had already acquired a yellow card, so we wanted to save him four our next game against MESC,” said coach Rathari.
On the other hand the youthful Dintorokong coach Mopholosi Reaitsanye said that his game plan did materialise.
“All went well, we haven’t been doing well, we played power play since we knew GU is good on passing the ball but not confident when you attack them. I also used natural wingers as right back and left back to help add more attack,” said coach Reaitsanye. Ends
