Sankoyo plot thickens

The National Appeals Board (NAB) members have washed their hands and wiped them off the ongoing football saga whose nucleus is premier league freshmen, Sankoyo Bush Bucks.
In a media statement, the NAB said it was never their ruling that Sankoyo Bush Bucks be deprived all the points they had accumulated during the season, let alone for games that were not the subject of the appeal.
NAB said the judgement in respect of the appeal by Sankoyo was against the decision of Botswana Football Association disciplinary committee made on April 9, concerning a game played on January 24 at Maun Sports Complex with FC Satmos.
In its ruling, BFA DC found that Sankoyo Bush Bucks had fielded a defaulter, Morris Ruzivo, and the team was docked three points and two goals. Sankoyo then made an appeal to the NAB on that judgement and the appeal was in relation to the game of January 24 and no other game.
“NAB considered the appeal and rejected it. In this connection the BFA DC decision was not disturbed”.
It said NAB's attention had been called to reports and speculation circulating in the media that it recently ordered that Sankoyo Bush Bucks should lose 26 points accumulated in the past football season. ENDS
