BTCL improves internet services

Botswana Telecommunications Limited (BTCL) has launched its improved broadband and mobile internet services with reduced price changes and new technological advancement to improve service delivery in businesses.

BTCL managing director, Mr Paul Taylor, said at a press briefing in Gaborone that these products and services would help develop the nation and assist the customers to run their businesses efficiently and effectively. Mr Taylor highlighted that they were following a vision; simply the best. “We have embarked on a journey to becoming a fixed and mobile and converged company,” he said.

He further said, in the next 12 months, the brand would also evolve, as this marked another step on the journey to excellence. Among these improved internet services, there was a service that allowed an individual to have internet access anywhere in Botswana hence allowing people to do business with whoever they want anywhere in Botswana including remote areas.

BTCL also introduced an innovative product for a conference call which is ideal for business.

Mr Taylor said this allowed one to join in a conference call from his/her mobile phone or fixed line and connect with multiple users. Mr Taylor highlighted that the businesses and many sectors of the economy relied on the telecommunications services that BTCL provides, therefore their motivated team is ready to offer the best service possible.

He further indicated that they have also reduced the price for their internet services for business customers which includes internet, leased lines and metro. He added that to make sure that the customers are served to their satisfaction; they have also introduced an initiative called ITLOLE that has been established to nature the team with customer service to improve service delivery.

“To make sure that our team delivers, we have introduced an initiative like ITLOLE, to further encourage a customer centric approach to business,” he said. ENDS
