Symphony Health gives to patients
10 Dec 2014
Symphony Health medical aid scheme has donated goods worth P10 000 to the Princess Marina Hospital's paediatric ward as part of their corporate social responsibility drive.
The scheme donated a Samsung refrigerator valued at P6 000, toys, blankets, fruits and juices to the ward while the Symphony Health staff took the opportunity to sing some Christmas carols with the children and other patients.
A press release from the company stated that they decided to share some special moments with the children who, for most, would not get to spend the holidays with their families.
“We are happy to have been able to put a smile on the faces of the children, and watching them play with their toys gave us great pride and joy,” said Ms Rose Tatedi, the chief executive officer of Symphony Health.
It further says as a part of the festivities, partners and stakeholders of Symphony Health also came forward to make various donations. The organisations included Osei Ofei, they donated a DEFY fridge, MRI Botswana donated books, toys and blankets while Medswana also donated blankets.
Ms Tatedi said that the initiative was in line with their principle of positively contributing to wellness in Botswana. The donation, she said sees them living up to the essence of the 2016 pillar of “a compassionate, just and caring nation.” ENDS
