Association trains affiliates

Central South Regional Football Association will host a FIFA accredited football administration course for their affiliates in Mahalapye from November 17 to 20.
Speaking in an interview recently, chairperson of CSRFA, Kaizer Sebaka said since they took office, his committee realised that there is shortage of administration knowledge and skills among their affiliates.
“After North Central Region split, Serowe teams made it to top divisions whilst Mahalapye teams remained in lower ones because our affiliates lack administrative knowledge to run teams properly to ensure that they progress to top divisions,” he said.
Their target as CSRFA, he said is to have more than two teams from their league playing in the premier league in the next three seasons, hence the need for administration course for their affiliates.
“What will deliver our target is the 40 per cent under 20 years old players’ quota imposed on the teams plying their trade in the CSRFA league. Our players are young and developing to be one of the best players in years to come,” he said.
He said Mahalapye district officer, Baikuedi Masole and BFA president, Tebogo Sebego are expected to grace the event. The main attendants of the course, Sebaka said, will be executive chairperson and secretary of affiliates as well as an executive from Mahalapye Hotspurs and BR Highlanders.
“The instructors will include the additional member of BFA, Senki Sesinyi who will give a lecture on governance in football, Kgosana Masaseng from Botswana Players Union who will conduct a lecture on laws governing players’ contracts and national executive committee member, Basadi Akoonyatse who will lecture affiliates on doping,” he said.
