Hard work pays

02 Nov 2014

The teaching staff and other stakeholders at Kgabosetso Primary School in Moshupa have been appreciated for showing passion in the development of a child.

Moshupa Senior Secondary School head, Mr Vincent Molemoeng appreciated the work that the primary school management team, teachers, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and students had put to make the learning environment conducive.

‘’Amidst the challenges that exist, the staff and parents did not run away or abandon their calling. You soldiered on and the hardships experienced became opportunities that made you strong and solid. I applaud for this,’’ said Mr Molemoeng.

Speaking at a price giving ceremony on October 31, Mr Molemoeng said the school had adopted a collaborative approach in ensuring that learners were not left helpless in their quest to learn. The school management team and staff had knocked at the doors of various offices seeking for assistance, he added.

Mr Molemoeng urged the PTA to continue supporting the endeavours of the school to ensure that their children are given a future. He said the ministry strives for education and skills development of learners.

However, Mr Molemoeng pledged to buy school uniforms for two unprivileged students of Kgabosetso primary school this year. The school has been doing well for the past five years by attaining a 62 per cent pass rate, and still struggles to improve the performance.

The school head, Ms Baatshakane Baatshakane said it was appropriate for them to take stock, reflect on achievements and reward individuals who excelled in their work.

The school which has a total of 805 students has been doing well in sports activities at national level. ENDS
