BR Properties aims to create value for clients
17 Jul 2014
BR Properties intends to manage its clients’ property portfolio in order to create sustainable value through asset optimisation, operational excellence and customised client solutions profitable to the business.
Launching the company logo this week, BR Properties board chairperson, Ms Lesedi Moakofhi said the company started off with a five-year conceptual business plan which elapsed in 2012 prompting management to formulate a three-year organisational strategy that was adopted in 2013.
She said the review which covered the company’s business model was intended to ensure that BR Properties remains relevant to its mandate, strategy and market. She said it would focus on asset optimisation through a service offering which provides unquestionable value to the owner of the customer.
She said the other focus would be a service offering which was tailor made to the specific requirements of the customer whilst being profitable to the business.
Ms Moakofhi said it had become imperative for the company in order to live its vision to reorganise, position itself and diversify its client base, adding that this had partly contributed to the slack financial performance in the formative years of the company.
The board chairperson said it was noteworthy that in positioning itself, it had become necessary for BR Properties to review its corporate identity and marketing strategy.
She said in reviewing their marketing strategy, they undertook through the assistance of Probe Market Intelligence, a study into the local property market where 15 property companies were invited and out of which 10, which represents 67 per cent, responded.
Ms Moakofhi said to get so many responding was that assurances were made that results would be aggregated.
She added that as a token of appreciation assurances were also made that the summary of findings would be shared with them, and that there was a general feeling amongst the respondents that the relocation of Diamond trading Company (DTC) has propelled the hospitality industry into growth in the hotel and entertainment services sectors.
