The new premium petrol, Shell V-Power 95 was launched in Gaborone on Tuesday, May 20.

Shell V-Power 95 is a unique formulation that contains components selected for their ability to help deliver more power, improved acceleration and enhanced responsiveness.

Speaking at the glamorous launch, VIVO Energy Botswana Product Quality Manager, Mr Mike Zacharias said Shell V-Power 95 could be used by any car and would be available at 56 sites country wide, starting yesterday (Wednesday).

He also said the petrol was designed to prevent power-robbing deposits forming on the valves and injection system.

Further, Mr Zacharias said the Shell V-Power was formulated to clean up existing deposits to help enhance the responsiveness of the engine.

Mr Zacharias said Shell V-Power came about as a result of the partnership Shell had had with Ferrari over many years. He noted that over 60 years they began working with Ferrari to develop a race fuel that provided the power, protection and performance demanded by the ultimate motor sport, Formula One.

He said through this technical partnership, they had helped propel the Ferrari team to many individual race wins, hence they were now bringing that winning passion from track to every customer out there.

Mr Zacharias thus said Shell V-Power was the direct result of a day to day technical partnership between Shell engineers and scientists, and those in the Ferrari team. ENDS
