The Lady Masire Youth Centre launched a new logo and presented its new board members on May 16.

Speaking at the event, the board chairperson, Ms Malebogo Busang said they intended to keep the dream of the late Lady Olebile Masire alive. She highlighted that Lady Masire Youth Centre was started a long time back for young people to have a place where they could retreat and interact.

The new board members included Ms Busang as chairperson, Mr Thabo Ngaka as deputy while the treasurer is Onalenna Batsalelwang.

In her remarks on behalf of the Masire family, Ms Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba expressed her heart felt appreciation to the Lady Masire Youth Centre members for their efforts in keeping the momentum of what her mother initiated.

“I believe my mom would have approved it,” she said adding that it was a good thing that the board was made up of various people of different capabilities. Ms Masire-Mwamba said the event happened at an auspicious moment as it correlated with the week that her mum passed on last year. ENDS
